We are a leading solicitor’s firm based in Blackburn, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to clients nationwide. With a team of experienced professionals, we specialise in handling no win no fee claims across various service areas, helping individuals and businesses retrieve compensation for financial mis-selling and consumer issues.
We are looking to expand our Litigation team with experienced Solicitors and Team Leaders to support our growing caseload of consumer litigation claims. As a result of continued business growth and increasing client demand, we are entering a busy and exciting period of expansion, creating excellent opportunities for legal professionals seeking progression, leadership responsibility, and meaningful work within a supportive, high-performing environment.
Supervising a team of paralegals working on high-volume consumer litigation claims (primarily PCP).
Ensuring high-quality standards are maintained through robust checks and controls.
Providing guidance and answering queries from junior team members.
Reviewing and assessing claim documents and case values.
Managing the key dates diary to ensure court deadlines and procedural steps are met.
Supporting paralegals in negotiation strategy and communication with opponents.
Advising on and instructing counsel as needed.
Overseeing court preparation and attendance, including interim hearings.
Monitoring performance, identifying resource gaps, and providing progress updates.
Previous experience running a litigated caseload, ideally in a civil litigation setting.
Strong working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and court processes.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and supervise legal support staff or junior fee earners.
A proactive, organised, and methodical approach to work in a high-volume environment.
Confidence in using legal software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
An ability to interpret case law and make sound legal decisions under pressure.
Positive team spirit, adaptability, and a client-focused mindset.
Training on internal systems, litigation workflows, and compliance expectations at Courmacs Legal Ltd.
